Meet Ollie!

At Edinburgh Sports Injury Clinic, we believe that healing involves more than just physical treatment – it’s about creating an environment that supports the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. That’s why we’re proud to introduce a special member of our team: our therapy dog!

Yes, a real dog. And no, it’s not just for cuddles (although there’s plenty of that too).

Let’s face it – physiotherapy can sometimes be challenging, especially if you’re recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic pain. Ollie helps ease stress and anxiety, offering a calming presence that makes your sessions feel more comfortable and less clinical.

Many patients find themselves smiling more, worrying less, and even looking forward to appointments thanks to our four-legged friend.

Ollie puts a smile on everyone’s face! Whether it’s walking down the hall to meet and greet or bending to give a belly rub, patients often find themselves moving more willingly and with greater enthusiasm.

He’s especially helpful for children, elderly clients, or those with neurological conditions who benefit from added motivation and interaction.

Ollie encourages conversation, helps build rapport between patients and staff, and reduces feelings of isolation – particularly for those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, or long-term conditions.

He also brings warmth making our clinic feel even more like a friendlier, inviting space. We’ve found that patients – especially those who are nervous or visiting for the first time – feel more at ease as soon as they’re greeted by a wagging tail.

Many even say it’s the best part of their visit!
