Kinesiotape

Kinesiotape, also known as kinesiology tape, is an elastic therapeutic tape first developed in the 1970s. It is designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin and is used in various rehabilitation and therapeutic applications.

The main uses of kinesiotape include:

  1. Pain management
  2. Soft tissue injury treatment
  3. Addressing tissues and joints malalignment
  4. Reducing oedema and swelling
  5. Improving proprioception
  6. Facilitating or inhibiting muscle function
  7. Enhancing lymphatic drainage and blood flow
  8. Supporting injured muscles and joints while allowing full range of motion

The tape is breathable and water resistant and can be worn for a few days. It aims to facilitate the body’s natural healing process and improve function.
